A parent's checklist for Roblox account safety
According to Roblox's help center, parental controls let you manage your child's content, chat and spending settings. Menu names change over time, so use this as a checklist and confirm the exact steps in the official article.
1. Link your account to your child's
In the official instructions, you open Settings, select Parental controls and choose your child's account. Everything below is managed from there.
2. Set content maturity
Content maturity decides which games your child can join, based on each game's rating: Minimal, Mild, Moderate or Restricted. You can also block or allow specific games.
3. Decide who your child can chat with
Chat settings control who your child can chat and party with. Start restrictive and loosen them together as your child shows good judgment.
4. Set spending controls
Robux is bought with real money. Review spending limits and notifications, and read the rules for your child's age in the next guide.
5. Talk, don't only restrict
Settings reduce risk but do not replace conversation. See how to talk to your child about strangers online.
