How to choose a Roblox game that fits your child's age and interests
With millions of experiences on the platform, a game's player count says little about whether it suits a particular child. These five questions help you decide in a few minutes.
What does the game ask you to do?
Trading and collection games, competitive shooters and roleplay worlds create very different social situations. Read the description and play a short session yourself.
Who can your child talk to?
Check whether chat is on in that game. Social and roleplay worlds usually involve more contact with strangers than single-goal games.
Does it push spending?
Many games sell boosts, passes and limited items. Notice how often purchase prompts appear.
How long does a session last?
Some games reward long sessions with daily rewards and timers. Agree on a time limit before starting.
What does your child want from it?
Ask. A child who wants to build needs a different game from one who wants to compete or hang out with friends.
